• register for or use an FDSX account;
• use an FDSX configurator;
• purchase credits, subscriptions or other services;
• generate or download drawings, models or fabrication files;
• upload project or reference information;
• contact us or submit a support request; or
• otherwise interact with FDSX.

2. Personal information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you use FDSX.

Account and identity information

We may collect:

• your first and last name;

• encrypted account credentials;

If you use Google or another third-party service to sign in, we may receive information such as your name, email address and account identifier, depending on the permissions you approve.

Payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider. FDSX may receive transaction confirmation and limited billing information but does not intentionally store complete payment-card details unless expressly stated during payment.

Project and configurator information

When you use the FDSX configurator, we may collect and process:

• selected façade, cladding or curtain-wall systems;
• dimensions, parameters, materials and thicknesses;
• fold angles, fixing details and other configuration choices;
• drawings, PDFs, photographs, models or reference files you upload;
• generated drawings, flat patterns, DXF files, CAD files, STEP files and other outputs;
• saved configurations;
• download and revision history;
• comments, instructions and support information; and
• information relating to errors or failed generation requests.

Project information may contain personal information or commercially sensitive information belonging to you, your employer, your client or another project participant.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to submit project information to FDSX.

Technical and usage information

We may automatically collect:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• approximate location derived from an IP address;
• login date and time;
• pages and configurators accessed;
• actions performed within the platform;
• error, diagnostic and security logs;
• download activity;
• cookie identifiers; and
• website analytics information.

• support requests;
• survey responses;
• feedback;
• demonstrations or sales enquiries; and
• other communications with us.

3. How we collect information

We will not use project information or uploaded files to train public artificial-intelligence models unless we have clearly informed you and obtained any consent required by law.

Where de-identified or aggregated data can no longer reasonably identify an individual or customer, we may use it for analytics, service performance, research and product improvement.

5. Providing information is optional

You do not have to provide personal information to us.

However, if you do not provide information marked as required, we may be unable to:

• create your account;
• authenticate your identity;
• process a payment;
• generate or deliver requested outputs;
• provide support; or
• make some website or configurator features available.

6. Disclosure of information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

• cloud-hosting and file-storage providers;

• administer backups; or
• comply with legal obligations.

This Privacy Policy does not replace any confidentiality agreement, non-disclosure agreement or project-specific contract between FDSX and a customer.

FDSX may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• manage shopping-cart and account functions;

• measure website usage;
• identify errors;
• improve website performance; and
• support marketing where permitted.

9. Overseas processing and storage

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand.

Closing an account may not immediately delete all transaction, backup, security or legal records.

• unused credits;

We may retain information after account closure where reasonably required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup or security purposes.

Any treatment of unused credits or paid subscriptions will also be governed by the FDSX Terms and Conditions.

14. Marketing communications

We may send information about FDSX services, products, updates or offers where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.

You can opt out of marketing emails by:

You may continue to receive essential account, transaction, security and service communications.

15. Privacy breaches

If a privacy breach occurs, we will investigate and take reasonable steps to contain and address it.

Where a breach has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

16. Children

FDSX is intended for professional and business users and is not directed toward children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children. If we become aware that information has been collected from a child without appropriate authority, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

17. Third-party websites

The FDSX website may link to external websites or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security or content practices of third-party websites. You should review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, business practices or legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on the FDSX website and will show its effective or last-updated date.
